When the mine closed in Questa, New Mexico, in 2014, the town found itself in the midst of an identity crisis. But the community is just east of the Rio Grande, home to a core population of the river’s nativecutthroat trout, and outfitters, convenience stores, a couplend hospitality institutions in town have since tailored their business plans to incorporate the anglers flooding Questa in search of this fish.
